Characterful home with mineral walls

This apartment looks so cozy and inviting. Almost all the walls in this place are treated with a different tint of mineral paint, which gives a slight rustic touch to the apartment. The decoration and furnishings are a mixture of vintage an modern, which gives a lot of character to this home. I especially like the combination of the grey chalk walls in the kitchen with the smooth grey of the cabinet fronts. The bedroom has been painted in a darker chalk grey for a bit more of a dramatic effect. Source Coco Lapine Design

Cozy light filled home with lots of plants

I think this light filled home with high ceilings and windows looks so fresh and cozy. I love the fact that it has plants in every single corner of the interior, it adds so much life to the space. I like the grey and light wood color palette in the living room as well, which comes back in the kitchen in a more subtile way. As with all stylings done by Emma Fisher, the accessories are on point and I can keep looking at these pictures to find more inspiring details. Source Coco Lapine Design

Bite into a vegan hot dog at IKEA US and UK

Something tasty is happening all across the UK and US. Today the vegan hot dog hits IKEA stores all over UK and the US. Even though it took 37 years after the regular hot dog to arrive we’re rejoicing nonetheless. IKEA started testing vegan hot dog recipes earlier this year  at their Malmö store and rolled out the final version across European stores last month. The plant-based goodie exceeded forecasted sales by selling over one million hot dogs to date, as reported in Forbes . Related: Read more on IKEA food and recipes The new vegan hot dog is made from a vegan recipe, with ingredients that include kale, red lentils, carrots, and ginger. IKEA Food Services did caution that the hot dog bun can differ from market to market and in some, it may not be vegan. In some IKEA markets, the bun is also suitable for vegans. It comes topped with pickled red cabbage, sweet and spicy mustard, and toasted onions. And it sells for only $0.75. That’s a mouth-watering price, for sure.

My new Writing Room / Sanctuary. Features a monster desk!

I’ve recently taken up writing again, but I needed a nice quiet place to do that – and a place that makes me feel peaceful and happy. We decided to fit out a spare junk room into a writing room, a functional working space . First, we painted it a lovely pale blue and then decided to make a monster desk out of METOD kitchen cabinets . It was put together over a few weekends – but really probably you should allow two solid days to do this properly (not counting the work to glue up the pinboard). Hackers Help: Corner table without corner leg?

My question is this: I bought 2 LINNMON table tops to make a corner table. 1. 120 x 60 cm 2. 200 x 60 cm FYI – IKEA does not offer the “LINNMON Corner Table Top” in our location 🙁 I want to set them up as in the above image, but want to keep the corner clear (remove leg in blue), since I will have a monitor in the corner and want the free space. Note: I will be moving the middle leg, needed for the larger table top, to the back side instead of right in the middle. I found one hack on your site, where someone made frames for the tables tops and put the legs on those . But am looking for possibly an easier/simpler solution 🙂 Was thinking about connecting them with something like mending plates , but am not sure how stable that will be. Hope you have an idea for me. Thanks, Jacob *** Hi Jacob Yes, it is possible to form an L shaped desk without the supporting leg in the middle. As you already figured out, you’ll need to find ways to reinforce that middle section

Cozy kitchen with a touch of green

This kitchen has so many interesting details and accessories. The cabinet fronts are minimal and cool grey, but the leather handles make them look more warm. The tile wall adds to this minimal setting, but the pale green wooden panels give this look a vintage touch as well. The layout of this kitchen allows for a lot of storage, while still keeping space for a large dining table in the middle. The wide windows with window sills are perfect for plants (which match this green theme perfectly) and I love the little desk on the side of the big cabinets as well. Source Coco Lapine Design

What Not to Do When Listing Your Home

When it comes to listing your home, you want everything to go smoothly. If you make a mistake during the listing process, you might end up getting less than your home is worth or find that it takes significantly longer to sell your home than it should. To stay ahead of the game and improve your chances of a quick sale with a nice profit, steer clear of these mistakes when listing your home. Collect this idea Make sure the price is right. Image: Blue Ocean Design Pricing it incorrectly Perhaps the worst mistake you can make when listing your home is choosing the wrong price. Potential buyers often skip overpriced homes because it’s out of their budget. If you list your home too high, you are also likely to get frustrating lowball offers. Conversely, if you price your home too low, you can lose out on potential profits. Instead of falling victim to this mistake, take the time to carefully evaluate your listing price. Start by looking at the market value and comparable sales in
